Plagiarism Policy
Al-Turath Al-Adabi strictly adheres to the plagiarism policy prescribed by the Higher Education Commission (HEC). The journal maintains a zero-tolerance approach toward proven plagiarism and academic misconduct.
All submitted manuscripts are screened for plagiarism exclusively through the Turnitin plagiarism detection tool, as approved by HEC, before being sent for peer review.
As per HEC guidelines, a manuscript is considered eligible for further processing only if:
-
the overall similarity index does not exceed 19%, and
-
the similarity from any single source does not exceed 4%,
after excluding references, quotations, and commonly used expressions.
Manuscripts exceeding these limits, or containing plagiarism, self-plagiarism, duplicate submission, data fabrication, or falsification, are rejected outright. Authors must certify that their submissions are original, unpublished, and not under consideration elsewhere. Any violation of these principles may result in rejection and further editorial action.
