Author Guidelines
Guidelines for Researchers
- Al-Turath Al-Adabi is an Arabic research and critical inquiry journal in which unpublished research articles in the context of Arabic language and literature are treated.
- All articles in Al-Turath Al-Adabi are published according to the rules and regulations set by HEC.
- All articles go through peer review process before publishing which could take two to three months.
- Al-Turath Al-Adabi is published bi-annually in January and July so articles must reach to the editor till September and March respectively.
- Articles after sending for publication in Al-Turath Al-Adabi must not to be sent anywhere else for publishing before getting known about acceptance or rejection.
- Articles not discussing Arabic language or literature and written about any other language/subject in Arabic are not acceptable.
- Articles discussing Arabic language or literature but not written in Arabic are not acceptable.
- Do not send translations or creative writings in Arabic like Ghazal, Nazm, etc.
- The editor / Managing editor will inform the authors about opinions of the experts regarding any change.
- It is not necessary that the Al-Turath Al-Adabi should agree with the writer’s opinions. The responsibility of articles will only lie on the authors and not on NUML or Editorial committee.
- Articles must be accompanied abstract in English. (250-300 words) with keywords.
- State the English translation of the title, name of researcher in Roman script and current status of researcher also.

Authors Names and Affiliations: After desk review and before initiating peer review process. author(s) cannot change/update or add new authors. It is responsibility of corresponding author to check names and affilitiations of other authors before the peer review process stage.
Instructions / Directions for Writers
- Articles must be in composed form.
- Soft copy must be in MS Word format with following settings:
- Font = Traditional Arabic Font size = 16.
- Writing of the Quranic verses and Hadith Sharif should be in the font of KFGQPC Naskh Usman Taha; Size = 14. The references should be given in Footnote.
- The poetry verses should be written in specific poem format in Traditional Arabic Font, Size = 16 Bold. References should be in the footnote.
- Following to be catered for while mentioning the main Headings or Sub Headings:-
- The heading will be written in Traditional Arabic Font; Size = 18 Bold.
- It is possible to write the sub heading in the same line, but its size should be 17 Black.
- The text should be started from new line after main title.
- The beginning of paragraph to be with leaving the distance in 1st line i.e 0.25 inch.
- The Quotation to be written within the inverted commas. " " if the Quotation is less than three or four lines with text form and its size.
- The writing of footnotes to be computerized, the manually written footnotes of research paper will not be accepted.
- The references should be mentioned at the end of article.
- The font of footnotes should be in Traditional Arabic; Size = 13.
- The article must include references/footnotes in Arabic and in Roman Script too, otherwise, it is not acceptable.
- Please follow this structure for references:(Book, Author, Publisher, Address, Year, Page)
- The page numbers should be given in the center up of the page in Traditional Arabic Font; Size = 15
- The praying sentences should be appropriate, and these words should be in KFGQPC Arabic symbol 01.
- The researcher’s name should be under the research title and before the English abstract at the left side of the 1st
- It is essential that the researcher must follow the rules of dictation, spelling (structure).
- The essay must be in standard Arabic Language.
- The Abstract should be in English Language. It should not exceed 150 words. with font Times New Roman, size: 12
