Peer Review Policy
- Al-Turath Al-Adabi follows a double-blind peer-review process to ensure objectivity, academic integrity, and transparency in scholarly publishing. In this process, the identities of both the authors and the reviewers are concealed from each other throughout the review procedure.
- All submitted manuscripts first undergo an initial editorial screening (desk review) to assess their relevance to the journal’s scope, compliance with submission guidelines, linguistic quality, and basic methodological soundness. Manuscripts that fail to meet these preliminary criteria may be rejected at this stage.
- Manuscripts that pass the desk review are then sent to two independent external reviewers with expertise in the relevant field. Reviewers evaluate the manuscript on the basis of originality, academic contribution, methodological rigor, and conceptual clarity.
- Final publication decisions are made based on the reviewers’ reports, and authors may be required to revise their manuscripts accordingly. Upon final acceptance and editorial proofreading, the article is published in both print and online formats.
- The journal maintains confidentiality throughout the peer-review process and regularly updates its database of qualified reviewers.
